NECTA Standard Seven Results 2026: How to Check PSLE Results Online

The NECTA Standard Seven Results 2026, also known as the PSLE Results 2026 or Matokeo ya Darasa la Saba 2026, are an important milestone for pupils completing primary school in Tanzania. Candidates and their families can use the results to review examination performance and prepare for the next stage of education.

The Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE) is administered by the National Examinations Council of Tanzania (NECTA). It assesses knowledge and skills gained at primary level and helps identify pupils ready to continue to secondary education or other training. NECTA’s PSLE information page explains the examination and its purpose.

How to check NECTA Standard Seven Results 2026

When NECTA posts the 2026 results, candidates and parents should use the official results portal to find them. Keep the candidate’s examination details handy, then follow these steps:

  1. Visit the NECTA PSLE results page.
  2. Look for 2026 in the list of examination years.
  3. Open the relevant results link.
  4. Select the candidate’s region, then the district or council and school if prompted.
  5. Find the candidate using their examination number or the details shown on the school results page.

The precise options may depend on how NECTA presents that year’s results. If the portal is busy, wait a few minutes and try again. Check that you are on a NECTA website before entering information, and avoid links shared by unfamiliar accounts.

Status note: As of November 3, 2026, NECTA’s PSLE results index lists results for 2025, 2024 and 2023, but does not yet display a 2026 results link. Check the official page for updates; do not treat an unofficial page or social media post as confirmation that your result is available.

What does the PSLE cover?

The 2026 examination timetable lists six subjects: Kiswahili, English Language, Mathematics, Civic and Moral Education, Science and Technology, and Social Studies and Vocational Skills. NECTA scheduled the examinations for September 9 and 10, 2026. The official PSLE timetable provides the subject schedule.

When reviewing the results, take time to read the full entry. Check that the candidate’s name or examination number matches the correct pupil, and review each subject result carefully. If a detail appears incorrect or unclear, ask the school for guidance on the appropriate follow-up.

What to do after checking the results

First, save or print a copy of the result information for your records. Discuss the outcome with the pupil and their teacher or school, especially if you need help understanding the results or planning next steps.

The PSLE is connected to selection for Form One, but checking examination results and confirming a school placement are separate steps. Follow official instructions about selection and reporting dates, and confirm any placement information through the relevant government or school channels. Keep important documents together and note any deadlines communicated by the school.

If the results page is slow or unavailable

High traffic after a results announcement can make websites slow to load. If the page does not open, try again later, use a reliable internet connection, or ask the candidate’s school for help accessing the official information. Avoid paying someone who promises to reveal results through an unofficial link.

NECTA’s official index is the best place to confirm whether the 2026 results have been posted. The portal currently provides links to earlier PSLE results, so make sure you select the correct examination year once the new listing appears.

A major milestone for pupils and families

The NECTA Standard Seven Results 2026 mark the end of one stage of a pupil’s education and the start of planning for the next. Use the official NECTA portal to check the PSLE results, verify the candidate’s details and keep a copy for reference. For reliable updates, return to NECTA’s PSLE results page and follow the instructions published by the relevant education authorities.
